ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026: Partnerships and financing for youth

This session of the ECOSOC youth forum 2026 aims to strengthen coherence between financing for development, social development and investment, and the creation of decent jobs for youth everywhere. The session will:

• Examine how multi-stakeholder partnerships under SDG 17 can strengthen financing for development and scale social investments that support decent jobs for youth, particularly young women.
• Explore linkages between global financial architecture reform, debt sustainability, taxation, and national policy space and justice systems that guarantee young people’s rights and promote gender equality.
• Showcase collaborative, country-level and youth-led initiatives that leverage public and private finance to expand employment opportunities for young people.
  Reinforce the role of young people, especially young women and gender-diverse youth, as equal partners in shaping and co-designing financing solutions, including those that can work also in the informal economy, and advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, the Sevilla Commitment and the Doha Political Declaration.
