At the second International Migration Review Forum (IMRF), held at UN Headquarters in New York on 4–8 May, the ILO will promote social dialogue and rights-based labour migration governance to advance the protection of migrant workers’ rights.
The Forum serves as the primary intergovernmental global platform for Member States to discuss and share progress on the implementation of all aspects of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, including as it relates to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and with the participation of all relevant stakeholders. It will assess progress and set priorities for the next five years, including on rights-based labour migration governance, social dialogue and the protection of migrant workers. It will conclude with an intergovernmental Progress Declaration.
