As the world falls short of its 2025 target to end child labour, attention is turning to what comes next. In this ILC Lunchtime Conversation, representatives of workers, employers and the ILO examine how to keep child labour high on the global agenda beyond 2030 and what a new global target should look like.

Drawing on the Global Framework for Action Against Child Labour adopted in Marrakech in 2026, panellists discuss the challenges of setting ambitious yet achievable goals, the need to reflect regional realities, and the importance of improving accountability and monitoring. The conversation highlights the role of tripartite action in accelerating progress and ensuring that efforts to eliminate child labour remain a global priority in the years ahead.
