In 1986 the International Labour Conference (ILC) adopted an Amendment to the ILO Constitution to make the ILO’s governance structure fairer and more inclusive. This high-level event is aimed at promoting the 1986 Instrument for the Amendment of the ILO Constitution and is organized following the request formulated by the ILO Governing Body at its 353rd Session (March 2025) and reiterated at its 356th Session (March 2026) to have such an event organized in the margins of the International Labour Conference.
